How Coating The Outside Of Your Office Building Can Save It From Graffiti
Unfortunately, Graffiti is a popular type of “artistic” destruction that is a worry for many business owners. After spending a great deal of money on a building, business owners want to attract customers, not deter them with the trashy look of graffiti. Having graffiti on your business’s building looks very unprofessional and can be very expensive and time consuming to clean up.
Fortunately, there is a preventative measure that you can take to ensure graffiti does not liter the exterior of your building. There are two main types of anti-graffiti coatings that can be applied to your building.
Sacrificial Coating:
This coating forms a clear-coat barrier over the area that is being protected. If the surface is vandalized, the protective coating can be removed with a quick high-pressure wash (sacrificed), taking all of the graffiti with it. This type of removal is way easier and cost efficient than trying to clean off graffiti without it.
Permanent Coating (non-sacrificial):
These are more expensive than sacrificial coatings, but would only need to be applied once. They create a protective surface that spray paint cannot bond to. This allows the vandalism to be simply wiped off with a graffiti remover.
Lastly, there is an anti-graffiti window film to protect your glass from vandals. This is both cost-effective and easy to replace. The film is similar to a screen protector for your phone. It is installed and then can be peeled off should the original film be affected by wear and tear.
Protect your business’ first impression by coating the building and keeping it safe from graffiti!
